Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Traveling Superintendent to manage exterior renovation projects for multifamily/mixed-use developments. This role involves overseeing subcontractors across various scopes, including roofing, siding, balconies/decks, windows, and doors. You will be taught proprietary waterproofing techniques that are crucial to the projects. This position offers opportunities for travel across several states, with a focus on maintaining or improving project margins that directly affect yearly bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Manage subcontractors across multiple scopes, including roofing (asphalt shingles, metal), siding (vinyl lap, fiber cement, panels and lap, metal), balconies/decks, and windows/patio/entry doors.
  • Oversee roofing projects, managing both asphalt shingles and metal roofing installations.
  • Supervise siding installation, with experience in fiber cement and vinyl lap siding.
  • Implement and manage waterproofing systems, including proprietary techniques taught on the job.
  • Ensure quality and timely installation of windows, patio doors, and entry doors.
  • Oversee balcony and deck construction, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Travel as needed across states including MI, FL, IA, NC, OH, and IN.
  • Maintain a strong focus on quality, directly impacting yearly bonuses.
  • Learn and implement new techniques, including proprietary waterproofing methods.
  • Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and city/government officials.
Essential Skills
  • Knowledge of building envelope and waterproofing systems.
  • Proficiency in Pro Core and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing crews of varying sizes, potentially up to 30 people.
  • Experience in multifamily construction and mixed-use projects valued at $2 million or more.
  • Minimum of 10 years of construction experience, including a supervisory role.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Superintendent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Ownership of a truck is preferred initially.
  • Bilingual skills are advantageous.
Work Environment

The position involves working outdoors for 45-50 hours per week, with occasional Saturdays required and Sundays off. The role offers a salary position with no pay loss due to weather, a $35 per diem for incidentals or meals, lodging in quality hotels, and a fuel card for travel. Bonuses stack and add from every project worked, with increased scopes and improved margins enhancing bonus percentages.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $105000.00/hr.
