Lifting: Typically infrequent, but must be able to lift up to 40 pounds. Push/pull: up to 100 lbs. Job is performed standing and sitting, with frequent walking required. Twisting, rotating of fingers, hands, wrists, forearms, elbows, biceps, knees, legs, ankles, hips, shoulders, neck, upper & lower back are required. Must be able to bend, stoop and pivot. This position requires occasional exposure to vibration impact of the hand, arm and shoulder. Functions of the job are varied. Most actions occur typically at waist and shoulder level. WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts, and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and is required to work with coolant and cutting oil. There is potential to be exposed to loud noises, as loud as 85 dBA or higher. Those areas are in a mandatory hearing conservation program as required by OSHA standards. Personal protective equipment that is required includes hearing protection (either ear buds or ear muffs), gloves that are specified for the task, and safety glasses. Safety toed shoes or boots are required.

Starting wage is based on experience and shift. In addition to a base wage, every associate is eligible for quarterly profit sharing!! Various shifts are available and off shifts include additional shift differential pay.

Position Summary: The primary function of the Electronic/Electrical Technician within the innovation team is to develop, build, implement and maintain improvement concept(s) into a fully functional solution(s) for the Ruger manufacturing team at our Prescott, AZ operations. This work is to be completed in a safe and efficient method to ensure minimal production downtime and adherence to environmental and safety guidelines. The successful candidate must have 5 years proven experience in controls and/or industrial electrical. The basic job requirements included, but are not limited to the following.- Ability to install and troubleshooting electrical controls both relay logic and PLCs.
- Proficient in programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
- Capable of maintaining and troubleshooting A/C and D/C motors and drives, safety devices, transducers, etc.
- Develop and use procedures and work instructions.
- Understand, Observe and enforce all safety rules and regulations, including but not limited to: OHSA, NFPA, lockout/tag out, arc flash, PPE requirements, etc.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, coupled with basic understanding of networking and operating systems as related to control systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Capable of working from ladders and aerial lifts.
- Capable of standing and walking up to 100% of work time; pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, stooping and climbing.
- Must be available for overtime, different shifts and on call duties as needed to maintain production.
- Read and interpret technical document such as: machine manuals and schematics.
- Maintain and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Understand and maintain safety devices and machine guards.

- Minimum 5 years 480v commercial/industrial electrical experience
- Journeyman level electrician with controls experience is a plus
- Conceptual skills, good verbal and written communication, including the ability to be adaptable and flexible when dealing with personnel, functional and technical skills, eye-hand coordination, attention to detail and sound judgment. Must be a motivated self-starter who is capable of working without supervision. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, write routine reports and correspondence, and must possess the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Must be proficient in computer skills and be comfortable using Excel and Word.
