Tyto Athene is searching for a CAD Drafter with experience supporting IT Managed Services programs for Federal Government Agencies, including, but not limited to the Department of Defense and/or Department of Energy.

Responsibilities:

  • CAD drafter, under minimal direction, will be required to create and maintain detailed CAD drawings of all field deployed equipment and infrastructure. This includes drawings, diagrams, layouts, schematics, for both ISP and OSP.

Required:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience providing technical IT documentation/CAD support in a corporate setting
  • Must have working understanding of CAD drafting systems with primary discipline in AutoDesks AutoCAD software.
  • OSP and structured cable experience and blueprint design/documentation
  • Responsible for preparing various drawings that support documentation of on-site survey information, SSR (Site Survey Reports) and engineer concepts and design solutions for an EIP (Engineering Implementation Plan) submittal. These drawing submittals directly support the DoD Enterprise infrastructure and infrastructure IT goals and projects.
  • Drawings consist of site plans, floor plans, elevations, and detail drawings. This documentation relates to the construction of OSP (Outside Plant) and ISP (Inside Plant) technology infrastructure.
  • Must have additional experience in Microsoft Applications such as Excel, Outlook, Teams and Visio
  • Experience drafting telecommunication infrastructure designs
  • Experience reading cut-sheets (equipment and material specification sheets)
  • Experience with document version control within CAD drawing systems.
  • Capable of working effectively with co-workers and fulfill customer requests.
  • Has strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite experience
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Is an effective time manager.
  • Ability to follow established guidelines set forth by the Customer, Tyto Athene, and the supervisor for conduct and work performance.
  • A valid drivers license is required.
  • Must be a US citizen.

Compensation:

  • Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $40K-$60K. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
