Journeyman Painter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The Painter will play a crucial role in guiding the utilization of inventory to prevent depletion, managing processes to minimize waste, and maximizing material reutilization. This position requires a focus on safety and quality, organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadlines, and inspecting workstations to ensure quality performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance on the utilization of inventory of standard items to avoid depletion to zero.
- Manage processes to minimize waste and maximize material reutilization.
- Continually monitor production activities for maximum safety and identify immediate remedial action to address safety concerns.
- Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.
- Inspect in-production workstations weekly for quality performance before the Quality Control department to prevent rework.
Essential Skills
- Proficient in carpentry, finish carpentry, construction, framing, and drywall.
- Skilled in using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Experience in general labor, rough carpentry, and commercial construction.
- Proficient in installation, trim work, and painting.
- Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years of painting experience.
- Experience operating a spray gun.
- Experience working specifically on new builds, within a painting company, or having your own painting company.

The work environment is centered around general production activities with a focus on safety and quality. You will use various hand and power tools, including spray guns, tape measures, and metal studs. The role involves new construction projects and requires a keen eye for detail and precision.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
