Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a senior electrical engineer.
Responsibilities include:
- The design of electrical systems for dams, hydropower and utility engineering projects
- Preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction
- Project management and/or technical leadership on large and/or complex projects
- Providing construction administration and site visits
- Mentoring staff; coordinating work and communication between subcontractors, teaming partners and suppliers
- Client management
Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in electrical from an accredited college or university
- At least six (6) years of relevant electrical engineering experience
- A PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states within six (6) months of hire
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- Experience with/proficiency in interpreting power and controls schematics
- Understanding of/experience with technical equipment operations and maintenance manuals (O&M) and experience analyzing equipment failures
- Experience with arc flash hazards and program development
- Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFD) and industrial pumps
- Experience using MODBUS communication for controls
- Understanding of medium voltage distribution systems
- Experience with power system studies, system planning and operations, and equipment specifications
- Knowledge of/experience the coordination with other engineering fields

Salary Range: $103,000 to $144,000 – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set or location.
