TCP / Labourer / Hoist Operator

Arkay Contracting is searching for a full time TCP and hoist operator in Vancouver at the Oakridge mall area. We are a construction services provider operating in the lower mainland of BC for 20 years!

Primary Duty:
Your primary responsibilities will be TCP & General labour and periodically covering the Personel Hoist when needed. The labour will be basic general labour and can range from site cleanup (sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, picking up garbage, etc), loading/unloading tools and materials into the hoist, window frame cleaning, detailing window glass cleaning, installing RAM Board flooring protection and moving various construction materials around site.

YOU MUST POSSESS A CURRENT AND VALID CONSTRUCTION PERSONNEL HOIST TICKET and a VALID TCP TICKET.

Health & Entry Requirements:

At least 2 years experience working on construction sites. Commercial or residential, high rise / low rise or town homes & custom homes.
Capable of lifting 30 lbs. or more repeatedly
Possess all necessary PPE (hard hat, high visibility vest, steel toe work
boots)
English skills sufficient to read and understand safety meetings, verbal
instructions, warning labels/signs etc.
Able to perform manual labour for several hours at a time
Minimum 18 years old
Possess a valid Canadian Social Insurance number

General Responsibilities:

Follow work site/ WSBC safety rules
Follow instructions from Foreman & Superintendents
Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
Ask questions when unsure

Competitive wages depending on experience

Other useful skills, but not required:
- OFA level 1 or 2
- Fall protection training
