The Contract Analyst reports directly to a Director of Sourcing and provides support to the Johns Hopkins Health System Supply Chain Department. The role provides a broad range of transactional, analytical and project management support to the Sourcing and Value Analysis Division. The Contract Analyst leverages business intelligence and decision support data to identify opportunities to establish or renegotiate agreements for supplies, services, and pharmaceuticals; conducts analyses to determine an appropriate strategy for negotiating an agreement; and ensures that the ERP is accurately maintained so that JHHS can accurately and efficiently transact with vendors with whom it has contracts. The Contract Analyst will collaborate with members of the JHHS supply chain that specialize in analytics, procurement, accounts payable, and logistics and distribution to support end-to-end supply chain process and improve services that support the Johns Hopkins Medicine Clinical Mission.
The Contract Analyst will manage and review the SAP contract data to ensure accuracy working closely with the sourcing staff. The Contract Analyst I will manage and resolve workflows related to invoice price exceptions tied to SAP contracts. The role will be accountable for ensuring contract prices are accurately maintained and discrepancies with suppliers are resolved in a timely manner.
Primary responsiblities include:
Data analytics supporting more senior staff members with data gathering and analysis of RFPs
Vizient contract activations & review of suggested Vizient opportunities
Management of lower complexity SRM contracts
Resolution of price discrepancies & PO price exceptions for assigned SRM contracts
Assistance with value analysis committees, including slide development, minutes and documentation of decisions
Assist with Non-contract (NC) SRM review to identify strategy for reduction of NC SRM agreements
Management of Stuck Requisition File in Conjunction with Procurement
Assistance with managing expiring contracts
Management of new and existing SRM contracts to ensure contract fields are accurately represented and items are appropriately slotted to contracts
Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with all levels of the organization
Ability to work in a team, coordinating work across other team members
Must be adaptable to changing circumstances and the ability to sequence competing priorities
Basic level of skill with Microsoft office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Must be able to work with minimal supervision
Pharmacy contract experience or Pharmacy Tech experience is preferred
Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of and/or experience in supply chain operations, procurement, or contracting
Understanding of project plans and how to manage the goals and milestones of a project against a targeted timeline
Knowledge of how ERP Supply Chain applications enhance the daily business practices of an organization
Education: Bachelors Degree is required, preferably in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Public Health, Hospital Administration or related business/finance areas. Additional experience may be substituted for education
Work Experience : Minimum of 6 months procurement experience required
Salary Range: Minimum $28.47/hour - Maximum $47.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
