Supports L4E Project Director in administration of research, logistics and communication responsibilities for the project; helps to maintain positive relationships with department and university. Works closely with the UVM Project Director and L4E staff at McGill University. Requires a high degree of professionalism and an ability to think creatively, a commitment to effecting positive change in the world, and a desire to work in an academic setting with graduate students and faculty. Supports L4E research groups. Supports desired project outcomes of effective strategic communications and informed and intentional advocacy.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and one to three years of experience in event planning, project management, student engagement, or the equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Proficient in Google Spreadsheets and Microsoft teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to interact with academics, staff and external stakeholders of all levels.
  • Adaptable and effective in managing a broad range of tasks.
  • Comfortable with a range of digital tools and platforms, including web design, social media and graphic content creation.
  • Capable of working independently with a solution-oriented mindset, while also engaging in collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Familiarity with academic setting (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency with social media and project management platforms an asset.

Anticipated Pay Range $52,000 to $57,000 Other Information

Flexible, non-conventional hours necessary to support research project between two universities and participate in trans-national project team, including weekend retreats and travel for meetings in Canada.

Contingent on continued funding by multi-year private grant.
