Job DescriptionEnsure safety on the jobsite by following established safety protocols, utilizing appropriate safety gear, and maintaining a clean work environment; erect scaffolding or ladders for assembling structures above ground level: read and interpret blueprints and building plans to determine dimensions, materials, and layout requirements for each job; use various types of materials including wood products, composite materials, windows, and doors based on architectural plans to ensure strength, durability, and design requirements are met; measure and mark cutting lies accurately on materials using a measuring tape, pencil, and square; shape or cut specified materials to measurements using hand tools, miter saws, circular saws, etc; construct and install building frameworks including walls, floors, and doorframes; anchor and brace structures with fasteners such as nails, screws, bolts, anchor rods, steel cables, planks, wedges, and timbers as required utilizing hammer, nail gun, drill, etc.; ensure stability of structures by checking proper alignment during installation using squares and levels; proficiently install stain-grade trim, hang doors, drill and set door hardware, set and install windows, layout for stairs as well as common rafters, utilizing levels, squares, nail guns, drills, chisels, clamps, jigsaw, etc; inspect and replace damaged framework or other structures and fixtures as necessary when working on a renovation project.
