Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor & Plant Operations Supervisor

General Job Description: Maintain air distribution system filters, existing cooler repairs and assist with electrical and mechanical duties under supervision of licensed journeyman. Perform tasks associated with general maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain all heating and cooling unit air filters, clean and repair as needed
• Replace bearings, motors, pumps, float and lines
• Lubricate bearings
• Assist with electrical and mechanical duties
• Trouble shooting of systems
• Maintain tools and other equipment

• Other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, Current drivers license, 1 year experience in repair and modification of heating and air conditioning systems and general maintenance work, considerate knowledge of safety precautions.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the job and access the environment for which you are hired. Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, kneeling, prolonged typing, physical ability to type on a keyboard terminal, and moving light furniture may be required.

Equipment/Technology Handled: Must know how to properly operate or be willing to learn to operate all multimedia equipment including current technology.

Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignment without direct supervision. After hour work may be required.

Terms of Employment: Salary and work calendar established yearly by the district. This position is contracted for 260 days per year.
