POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated Junior Production Project Scheduler with at least 3 months of experience in preparing production schedules for industrial manufacturing and/or fabrication projects. The candidate will schedule workflow for departments and operations according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times. This role assists in planning sequences of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations, and confers with department supervisors to determine the status of assigned projects.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 3 months of experience in preparing production schedules for industrial manufacturing and/or fabrication projects
  • Experience with Primavera P6 or MS Project scheduling software
  • Shipbuilding experience is a plus

SKILLS

  • Knowledgeable in planning and preparing, with the ability to organize and multi-task multiple projects
  • Ability to prepare accurate and detailed production reports
  • Proficiency in utilizing basic computer software (MS Office applications)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop recovery plans

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Schedule workflow for departments and operations according to manufacturing sequences and lead times
  • Assist in planning sequences of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers
  • Confer with department supervisors to determine the status of assigned projects
  • Prepare production reports
  • Participate in the development of build strategies with production and project management
  • Provide schedule dates for the MRP process for material procurement in time necessary to support production
  • Track the physical progress of project activities
  • Track area workstation process results
  • Plan and review daily station activities with the supervisor
  • Report progress and tracking results to production supervision
  • Report schedule projections to production supervision
  • Develop recovery plans as needed with production supervision
