Electrical Engineer (Temporary)

As a temporary Electrical Engineer, you play an essential role in analyzing electronic components, systems, and products. This role also performs testing, trouble shooting, and integration of power systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Circuit analysis, trouble shooting, repairing, modification, testing, report generation, data analysis including statistical study, electrical simulation and verification, component de-rating and MTBF analysis, familiarity with microcontroller software and firmware design
  • Analyzes data to determine feasibility of product proposal
  • Confers with research personnel to clarify or resolve problems and develops design
  • Prepares or directs preparation of product or system layout and detailed drawings and schematics
  • Directs and coordinates manufacturing or building of prototype product or system
  • Plans and develops experimental test programs
  • Analyzes test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications
  • Researches new components, performs substitutions and necessary testing to confirm performance
  • Confers with research and other engineering personnel and prepares design modifications as required
  • Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to developments of systems or other uses
  • Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to formulate and test electronic designs
  • Use computer assisted project scheduling software to facilitate overall project planning and management

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A TEMPORARY ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with minimum 2 years of power supply design and development experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint Word Processing software.

SALARY RANGE

The starting base pay for the role is between USD $90,000 and $115,000 annualized. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

THIS IS A TEMPORARY ROLE WITH AN ESTIMATED LENGTH OF ASSIGNMENT OF 3-6 MONTHS, SUBJECT TO CHANGE.
