What You'll Do
As Business Development Manager, you will lead initiatives that directly impact the growth, experience, and long-term sustainability of our association. Your key responsibilities include:
Grow Our Impact
- Develop and execute strategies to reach our goal of 400 members by 2030
- Design and manage the full membership cycle, including onboarding, engagement, and retention
- Analyze member data and implement experience enhancements
- Manage key projects, including brand strategy execution following our 2023 National Brand Workshop
Lead Strategic Partnerships
- Identify and develop partnerships with sponsors, national collaborators, public/private entities, and research institutions
- Manage financial opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and joint ventures
- Prepare and submit impactful reports to partners and funders
Drive Visibility and Marketing
- Manage external marketing and brand awareness efforts to increase visibility and influence
- Promote PFBA through content, media, events, and strategic messaging
- Serve as a representative at conferences and community events
Drive Innovation
- Conduct feasibility studies and propose program enhancements aligned with our mission
- Research and initiate proprietary initiatives, including trademark opportunities
- Collaborate with faculty, government agencies, and industry experts to leverage data and pursue thought leadership
Operate with Insight
- Evaluate the budgetary impact of new projects and make informed recommendations
- Use tools like HubSpot to track progress, automate communications, and ensure high-touch member experiences
What You Bring (Preferred Qualifications)
- Proven experience in business development, membership management, strategic partnerships, or marketing
- Strong project management and data analysis skills
- A proactive, results-oriented mindset with excellent communication abilities
- Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot experience a plus)
- A passion for helping family businesses thrive across generations
