MPS Group, Inc. is seeking multiple Project Managers to join our team at the Cleveland Cliff's Facility located in Middletown, OH. These individuals will be responsible for all operational activities under the projects assigned to them. Project Managers are typically assigned to large-scale, multiphase and complex projects. This hands-on field operations position has the primary objective of ensuring the safe completion of projects to customers satisfaction.

Shift Details:

Shift: 1st

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:15 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

  • Develops proposals, sets up projects, prepares dispatch and material requisition sheets and participates in planning meetings scheduling personnel, equipment and materials.
  • Develops and directs job site assignments for supervisors, operators and technicians.
  • Prepares and submits project paperwork to the customer for acceptance signatures and invoicing.
  • Ensures pretask safety plans are prepared and field safety briefings are conducted.
  • Ensures ample safety personnel are assigned to the project for continuous monitoring for hazards and risks and their elimination or control.
  • Conducts impromptu site audits to validate employee knowledge, skills and competence through safety observation tours, site-specific audit forms and checklists, or compliance with the pretask safety plan.
  • Prepares for and manages all subcontractors, their scope of work and that contract terms and conditions are met.
  • Ensures the project has adequate resources to ensure all project tasks are completed safely.
  • Ensures basic OSHA-protective programs are in place: fall protection and retrieval systems, confined space entry and rescue protocols, LOTO of uncontrolled energy, and setting up lighting, ventilation and radio communications, etc.
  • Provides direction and support for crew, including conflict resolution, on-the-job training, and new hire mentoring on corporate safety programs and procedures.
  • Acts as the customer liaison monitoring additional or out-of-scope work and changing orders.
  • Ensures the preparation and timely submission of all pertinent job-related documents to management, including job reports and time sheets, incident reports, disciplinary reports, progress reports, etc.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of industry-related experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • OSHA 30-Hour, HAZWOPER is mandatory prior to hire (may obtain through company sponsored program).
  • Confined Space Rescue, PIT certification etc.
  • Current and clean driver's license preferred with ability to obtain a CDL.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs.
  • Pass company Human Performance Evaluation.
  • Ability to walk up to three miles per shift.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.
  • Ability to lift, carry or pull materials in excess of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, squat, or reach within six inches of the ground.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.
