Summary:

As a Sr. Engineer, you will provide architectural/mechanical/electrical expertise and cost-effective solutions for multiple facility construction projects that meet budget, quality, and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute research and development activities concerned with design, construction, and production of facilities and systems.

  • Analyze feasibility of designing new plant equipment or modifying existing facilities considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors, utilizing professional engineering theory and practices.

  • Design and create components of equipment.

  • Supporting planning tasks and coordination with contractors and designer.

  • Communicating and collaborating with the corporation during the project assignment.

  • Serve as an SME and perform advance troubleshooting and design solutions.

  • Mentor/train other engineers, technicians and operators.

  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

  • Sort, set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience
  • Mechanical engineering design, construction, and maintenance experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities
  • Bilingual (Korean/English) required
  • Based in Troy but requires working on other projects within North America for over 3 months.
  • Must be flexible to travel or relocate for projects

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design, construction and maintenance of industrial facilities
  • Manufacturing experience is required
  • Demonstrated leadership is desired
