Job Summary:

Panelmatic Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Field Service Lead to join our team. The Field Service Lead will be responsible for providing direct support to the Field Service Operations leadership team, as well as to the team of Field Service Technicians. The FS Lead will have primary responsibility for the training plan for onboarding Field Service Technicians, both in Panelmatic facilities and in the field. The FS Lead will also periodically supplement the Field Service Technician teams in the field, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and installations of electrical systems and equipment.

Job Duties:

Consult with Field Service management and other company leadership on hiring of new FS technicians, performance reviews, and development plans.

Assign teams to upcoming Field Service projects, in cooperation with Project Management and Operations Management.

Coordinate travel arrangements and per diem for FS Teams when necessary.

Represent FS team in Site Coordination activities when necessary.

Ensure timely completion of tasks and projects by the Field Service team.

Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) at Panelmatic locations.

Ensure the completion and standardization of field service reporting, including maintenance reports and service records.

Own and refine the training plan for new Field Service technicians, and support the training process as required.

Assure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies of Panelmatic and FS Customers.

Maintain inventory of tools and equipment and advise management team on replacement and upgrade needs.

Perform periodic field work, including installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems according to company procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Five plus years of experience in a manufacturing role with a focus in electrical equipment manufacturing required

Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics required

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use multimeter, hand, and power tools required

Willingness to take on leadership responsibilities required

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team required

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required

Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities required

Adherence to our core values required

Must live in the Youngstown or Houston area required

Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required

Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 50lbs or more required

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required

Ability to stoop and bend for four-plus hours required

Ability to work in all weather conditions and at heights required

Ability to work extended hours including periodic on-call work, weekends and occasional holidays required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Relevant technical certification or associate degree preferred
