Job Description

This role is exclusively for candidates with ground-up construction experience, particularly in K-12 educational projects. The position is based in Northern Virginia, with work primarily conducted in the Fairfax corridor. As a Superintendent, you will join a healthcare construction team specializing in commercial ground-up projects. This opportunity offers the chance to work on significant projects valued at $20 million, contributing to the development of healthcare facilities and educational institutions.

Responsibilities

  • Pre-qualify subcontractors and conduct subcontractor visits.
  • Supervise 5-10 staff members across multiple projects.
  • Manage all field personnel, providing overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.
  • Develop daily schedules for projects and handle any issues that arise on the job site.
  • Coordinate RFI's and submittals.
Essential Skills
  • 8+ years of superintendent experience in ground-up or interiors within commercial/healthcare construction.
  • Proficiency in managing projects with budgets of $20 million or more.
  • Experience in dealing with subcontractors, scheduling, and budgeting from the field perspective.
  • OSHA30, first aid, and CPR certifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in commercial construction, healthcare, education (K-12), higher education, and senior living projects.
Work Environment

The position requires daily on-site presence in Winchester, VA, and NOVA. You will be part of a small, growing team focused on high-level healthcare construction projects. The work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, and outside weather conditions. Occasionally, you may encounter wet or humid conditions, fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risks, radiation, and vibrations. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.00/hr.
