Job Description

Engineering Technician II - Product Engineering Support (CA)Major PurposePerforms instrumented tests using existing procedures to verify that system performance meetsproduct specifications. Supports assigned product groups in product validation and verificationprocess as associated with production requirements. Provides problem identification andresolution, corrective action and tracking and reliability analysis. Provides input on test proceduresto engineers and support personnel as required.Major Duties? Designs, schedules and performs field and/or lab tests to validate new product designs.? Analyzes test data of moderate complexity, draws conclusions and summarizes reports.? Develops programs for data acquisition.? Collects and installs instrumentation for test.? Compiles test reports that document procedures and communicates results and guidance todesign group.? Assists in procedure and process documentation for various aspects of testing requirements.? Assists in developing changes to product design for new programs or continuousimprovement projects.? Gives work direction to test operators.Skills, Abilities, Knowledge? Familiarity with one or more of the following systems: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical.? Skill in using company information systems and processes.? Knowledge in engineering principles, theory and practice as well as product knowledge.? Knowledge of industry Product Verification & Validation processes and executionmethodologies.? Fundamental understanding of machine forms relevant to the specific job assignmentand Company division/unit. Knowledge/familiarity with machines manufactured by? competitors.? Knowledge of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP), Enterprise TechnologyDevelopment process (ETDP) and/or Enterprise Customer Acquisition Process (ECAP).Education? Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree orapprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent)? Degree in a Science discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree or apprenticeship (1-2years or equivalent)? Degree in an Agricultural Sciences discipline or equivalent experience. - Technical degree orapprenticeship (1-2 years or equivalent)Work Experience? Engineering experience. (1 - 3 years)? Specific Position Requirements: Position Title: Technician II

***Please note this falls under Light Industrial and will require a drug screening***

1st shift hours are 8am - 4pm Central

Metatarsal boots required for day 1

The manager is primary focused on getting candidates who are more mechanically inclined and who have solid computer skills for this particular role on the team.

Job Duties:

1. Perform inspection and test as necessary to determine cause of defective electronic assemblies with instruction.

2. Document and maintain records relating to work performed.

3. Inform supervisor of process or design problems and assist in the corrective action.

4. Conduct manual test of electronic circuits and PCBs according to engineering instructions.

5. Communicate with others in a professional and effective manner.

6. Update test documentation when required for prototype products.

7. Provide training to less experienced technicians when required.

8. Perform other associated tasks as required from their supervisor and manager.

Required Education:

A.S. in Electronics or a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification or equivalent experience

Required Skills:

1. Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors

2. Working knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and word processing

3. Understanding of trouble shooting methodologies to identify root cause

4. Knowledge of test equipment, e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.

5. Ability to read basic engineering documents, e.g., schematics or diagrams

6. Ability to comprehend product/process component datasheets

7. Ability to assemble and disassemble products

8. Ability to maintain lab equipment

9. Ability to perform basic mechanical work

10. Ability to work with minimal supervision

11. Ability to occasionally lift 25 lbs without assistance

Required Experience:

- Required: Minimum one year of related experience

- Preferred: Three or more years of related experience

- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills, enabling correspondence with internal departments and vendors
