Refrigeration Technician

Aerotek is hiring for a Refrigeration Technician! Job Description The Refrigeration Technician installs and repairs industrial and commercial refrigerating systems according to blueprints and engineering specifications, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration, structural layout, and the function and design of components. This role involves maintaining and performing preventative maintenance activities on ammonia refrigeration systems, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records, and observing and testing system operation using gauges and instruments. The technician is responsible for dismantling, assembling, and installing refrigeration equipment. Responsibilities Install and repair industrial and commercial refrigerating systems following blueprints and engineering specifications. Maintain and perform preventative maintenance activities on ammonia refrigeration systems. Complete accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records. Observe and test system operation using gauges and instruments. Dismantle, assemble, and install refrigeration equipment. Essential Skills Troubleshooting Blueprint reading Schematic interpretation Repair of refrigeration equipment Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems Experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration Trailer refrigeration Mechanical skills Preventive maintenance Compressor knowledge Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with maintaining and performing preventative maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $66580.00 - $70117.00/yr. Benefits cover medical, vision, and dental. The deductible is $250 for individual coverage and $500 for family Medical Out of pocked Expense Limit is $1,000 for individual coverage and $2,000 for family 401k - They put in $155.00 each month and also if the employee puts in 6% company will match 3% Union dues are 2.5x your hourly wage. They come out the 1st of every month. So let's say you make $30.26/hour, your union dues would be $75.65/month. Vacation time accrued 12 paid holidays $200/year for tool reimbursement Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Belvidere,IL.
