Journeyman HVAC Pay: 50k-114K/YR Location: Anoka, MN Site / Site with company vehicle Schedule: Monday- Friday 7AM-4PM Experience Required: 3+ years of refrigeration, troubleshooting, industrial maintenance, mechanical, customer service; Ammonia, Freon, Pressure Testing, Compressors, on call experience Benefits: Union benefits, family owned company, company vehicle. Job Description A local union contractor is seeking a skilled field technician to support its ammonia refrigeration department. The role involves servicing ammonia products and equipment, with a smaller focus on new construction and installation. Responsibilities Conduct ammonia and moisture testing, and leak detection. Change compressors, swap valves, and adjust temperatures. Calibrate equipment and perform pressure tests on systems. Carry out routine maintenance, quarterly and annual checks, and troubleshooting. Provide excellent customer service. Participate in new construction, equipment, system, and appliance installation. Essential Skills Proficiency in refrigeration and troubleshooting. Experience with industrial maintenance. Strong customer service skills. Knowledge of ammonia and freon systems. Competence in HVAC, calibration, and construction work. Ability to pressure test compressors, pumps, and ammonia refrigeration systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experienced with refrigerant maintenance. Experience with Ammonia or Freon. Experience in industrial or commercial maintenance. Participation in an on-call rotation. Possession of a high-pressure piping license, EPA license, CARO, CIRO certification (preferred). Work Environment Work hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday through Friday, with an on-call rotation from Thursday to Wednesday every 6-8 weeks. Overnight travel may occur once or twice per year within a five-state radius. The team currently consists of 13 technicians, and new hires will initially work alongside JM or experienced technicians. This role involves working in industrial and commercial environments, such as ice rinks and cold storage. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Anoka, Minnesota. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $114254.00/yr.
