Ironworker Foreman Job Description This position offers the opportunity to learn and grow with training provided for all necessary skills. Candidates must be able to read a tape measure and blueprints and should be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. The role requires working around cranes and rigging up I-beams, as well as connecting I-beams to columns. Comfort working at heights while always tied off on a scissor lift is essential. Responsibilities Work with structural steel that supports building construction. Connect I-beams to columns. Operate cranes and rigging equipment safely. Use power tools, torch, hot saw, tape, and basic iron-working tools proficiently. Safely operate boom lifts, scissor lifts, and telescoping forklifts. Lift up to 100 pounds with repeated bending, lifting, twisting, and climbing. Read and interpret blueprints and layouts accurately. Essential Skills Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment. Experience as a general laborer and ironworker. Skill in structural steel and iron work. Stick welding expertise, including MIG and GMAW techniques. Ability to perform 3g and 4g welding certifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications Certified welders comfortable with labor work. Experience in dirty and dusty work environments. Capability to work outside in various weather conditions. Work Environment The work environment is primarily outdoors and involves exposure to the elements, requiring comfort with dirty and dusty conditions. Projects are located in Minneola, KS, Junction City, KS, and an upcoming project in Springfield, MO starting in mid-March to early April 2025, which will be a prevailing wage job. Why Work Here?
