In the role of a Water Resources Project Manager, we'll count on you to:
Project- and task-level management, leading and directing technical staff, as well as hands-on project engineering for all phases on a wide variety of water resource projects.
Manage/lead/develop H&H modeling including 1D/2D hydraulic models to support planning and design of a wide range of flood, erosion mitigation, and water quality projects including flood risk mapping, stream rehabilitation/erosion mitigation, complex culverts and bridges, dam spillways and other hydraulic structures, storm water collection systems, and stormwater control measures (SCMs).
Manage/lead/develop engineering design including plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents for a diverse variety of water resources infrastructure.
Manage/lead/develop preparation of technical and non-technical reports and presentations including visualization of data.
Direct and coordinate work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's lifecycle (from development and initiation to close-out)
Responsible for all aspects of complex small to medium projects or routine large projects
Produce and coordinate several small to medium projects concurrently
Establish and maintain client relations, and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings
Conduct work sessions for deliverable development in conjunction with other staff and stakeholders
Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project life cycle, and ensure completion of deliverables on schedule
Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to budget and schedule
Work with the Accounting, Operational and Business leadership for periodic project reviews
Implement QA/QC procedures
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related field
7 years of progressive related experience in water resources/stormwater engineering
Proficiency in 1D/2D hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and modeling
Experience with stormwater design and the production of plans, specifications, and estimates
Certified Floodplain Manager
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
7 years related experience
A minimum 2 years project management experience
Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
MS Office and MS Project experience is required (Access experience would be plus)
Demonstrated leadership skills
