Experienced Acoustical Ceiling Mechanic

Experienced Acoustical Ceiling Mechanic needed for the Pensacola area. Job duties include but are not limited to installing acoustic materials such as sound absorbing wall panels and ceiling tiles, measuring and cutting acoustic materials to fit specific spaces like walls and ceilings. Creating sound barriers to reduce noise levels and installing acoustic insulation. Testing the acoustic quality of a space and assessing blueprints and site conditions to determine the appropriate installation procedures. Selecting and installing acoustic materials, such as ceiling tiles, wall panels, and insulation and using hand and power tools to cut, measure, and shape materials to fit the installation area. Applying adhesives and fastening materials to secure acoustic materials and applying or mounting acoustic tiles or blocks, strips, or sheets of shock-absorbing materials to ceilings and walls of buildings to reduce or reflect sound.The pay rate is $17-25 depending on experience.
