Lead Machine Operator-2nd shift Looking for skilled machine operators who have to have experience with CNC, Stamping or Plastic injection machines. Job Description As an Operator, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of machinery and equipment, ensuring safety and productivity. You will conduct quality testing of products, manage raw material usage, package finished products, perform minor maintenance, and complete necessary paperwork. Meeting or exceeding quality and production standards is essential, and you should be willing to collaborate in a team environment. Responsibilities Setup, operate, and monitor machinery and equipment safely and productively. Conduct quality testing and assure the use of proper raw materials. Package finished products and perform minor maintenance on machines. Complete all necessary paperwork accurately. Assist OP1's by making labels and preparing parts for S&R. Help team members in the performance of their duties. Essential Skills 3+ years of experience operating a machine in a manufacturing environment. Experience with CNC, Plastic Injection, or Press machines. Experience documenting production, preferably in a computer. Quality inspection experience, including blueprint and first piece last piece inspection. Proficiency with gauges and micrometers. Ability to work effectively in a team and assist operators as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications General labor skills. Machine operating and hand tool experience. Production, machine operation, assembly, and inspection skills. Familiarity with blueprints and general production processes. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will work in a manufacturing environment that is generally clean and bright, though at times it can be dirty, hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and greasy. Safety is paramount, and you must exercise a high degree of care to prevent injuries to yourself and others. The 2nd shift operates from 2:30 pm to 10:30 pm, with the expectation of weekend work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Troy, Michigan. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
