Job Tittle: Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Brooklyn, NY-Onsite

Overview:

This role will require significant knowledge of Cisco Catalyst/NexASR/ACI platforms, Firepower/ASA firewalls and F5 load balancers.

The Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer must have excellent troubleshooting skills in order to provide a high level of support.

Additionally, the engineer will serve as the technical support person responsible for configuration and maintenance of a hybrid cloud data center, WAN networks, and troubleshooting application hardware/software in order to maintain a high level of support.

Outline of Responsibilities:

Serve as lead technical resource for day-to-day network administration tasks including network equipment installation, configuration, and upgrades, testing and troubleshooting.

Configuration, maintenance and support including but not limited to Cisco Nexus, ASR, ACI, Catalyst and SDWAN platforms.

Troubleshoots and recommends improvements to network including operating systems and related software and provides tactical and strategic input to overall network planning and related projects. Isolates and resolves network problems in a timely manner.

Provide solution design and operational support of Cisco ASA and Firepower (FMC/FTD/FXOS) network firewalls including AnyConnect remote access VPNs as well as is akmp/IKEv2/VTI/IPSEC/GRE site-to-site tunnels.

Network design and configuration of major network protocols and technologies including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VXLAN, VPC, VDC, 802.1Q, QoS, STP, TCP/UDP, HTTP, FTP, DNS, SIP, RTP, ACLs

Collaborating with applications and support teams on design and implementation of application load balancing solutions (F5, Avi Networks/NSX Load Balancer).

Using tools (e.g., Netscout, Wireshark, tcpdump) to perform packet-level analysis for monitoring for security risks and troubleshooting network traffic.

Management of Azure/AWS cloud networks and firewalls.

Assist with planning, implementing, upgrading, or monitoring security measures for the protection of computer networks, systems, and information.

Responsible for working with vendors and resolving network outages in a timely fashion in order to meet internal SLAs and/or Metrics.

Provide operational support to include problem-determination, resolution, root cause analysis, and future mitigation

Creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures, network documentation and diagrams using Visio/Lucidchart.

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications

Experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and L2/L3 switches (Nexus 9k/7k/5, ASR, Catalyst, ACI, etc.)

Experience routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.

Experience in network security (Cisco ASA & Firepower)

Experience with F5 load balancing (LTM, GTM, BIG-IQ)

Packet analysis to resolve complex technical issues.

Preferable Qualifications

Prior education industry/project experience

CCNP or VMware certification

Experience with SDWAN, vManage, Meraki

Must be a self-starter and be able to work well independently and in a team

Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate in a credible and confident manner at all levels in the organization, especially on technical issues to a non- technical audience.

Detailed and process-oriented

Experience in VMware NSX and NSX Advanced Load Balancer

Experience using Splunk SIEM and Splunk Processing Language (SPL)

Experience Azure/AWS cloud infrastructure and Express Route.

Experience in implementing network security best practices
