Drywall Framer Mechanic

Responsibilities:

Read and understand project blueprints.

Supervising relevant construction team.

Measuring and marking the metal frames using chalk lines.

Cutting studs and metal runners to the specified measurements.

Installing metal studs to frames.

Attaching metal frames with pre-configured horizontal and vertical wallboard.

Ensure compliance with industry and safety standards.

Fitting and fastening drywall boards on the frames.

Inspecting completed work and verifying it with the design and blueprint.

Work on scaffold, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts.

Use powder actuated tools and lasers.

Work indoors and outdoors.

Work individually and as a team player.

Maintain construction schedules including phasing.

Other duties as assigned by your manager.

Requirements:

4 to 5 years of experience in steel stud carpentry.

Commercial steel stud framing experience with knowledge of material, methods, tools, and plans/layouts/prints involved in the installation of framework for commercial/industrial buildings

Tools and transportation.

Regularly lift up to 75 pounds and stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.

Drug screening.
