Operator/Laborer

Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and dependable Experienced Heavy Laborer and Equipment Operator to join our growing team specializing in site development, demolition, and utility construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy civil construction, be proficient with operating heavy equipment, and possess the physical capability and work ethic required for labor-intensive site work.Key Responsibilities:Operate heavy equipment including but not limited to: excavators, backhoes, loaders, skid steers, and compactorsPerform manual labor tasks such as trenching, pipe laying, backfilling, and site cleanupAssist in demolition work including structural tear-downs and debris handlingSupport installation of underground utilities (water, sewer, storm) in accordance with site plansRead and interpret site drawings, grades, and elevations under supervisionConduct pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance of equipmentSafely load/unload and transport equipment to and from job sitesEnsure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all timesWork in varying weather conditions and adapt to the dynamic nature of active construction sitesCommunicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and subcontractorsRequirements:Minimum 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil construction or site workProven experience operating heavy equipment with proper certifications (as required by jurisdiction)Familiarity with demolition and utility installation proceduresAbility to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous physical labor for extended periodsValid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferredPunctual, reliable, and able to work overtime and weekends as neededStrong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safetyPreferred Qualifications:Experience with GPS or laser grade control systemsExperience in municipal, commercial, and residential infrastructure projectsBilingual (English/Spanish) a plusWe Offer:Competitive wages based on experienceOpportunities for advancementHealth and dental benefitsRetirement plan optionsSafety and equipment trainingA team-oriented work environment
