They're looking to bring on a Commercial Project Manager with hands-on experience driving solar projects through the entire construction lifecycle - from contract execution to commissioning and closeout. This is a fully on-site position in the Glendale/Burbank, CA area - ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the work, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can take full ownership over project execution. What You'll Be Doing: As Project Manager, you'll serve as the primary point of accountability for solar construction projects - managing the day-to-day logistics, leading cross-functional communication, and ensuring your projects stay on schedule, within budget, and up to spec. Your responsibilities will span: Building and maintaining detailed project schedules, working closely with the COO and project stakeholders to manage key milestones across multiple jobs. Overseeing project Superintendents, electricians, mechanical foremen, and subcontractor crews - ensuring clear expectations and accountability across all field teams. Coordinating with engineering, procurement, logistics, legal, and utility partners from project kickoff through commissioning. Driving the procurement and delivery schedule of materials and equipment to align with construction timelines - preventing bottlenecks and minimizing downtime. Collaborating with internal engineering teams to ensure CAD plans and technical documents meet performance, safety, and code standards. Working alongside EHS personnel to enforce safety compliance on-site at all times. Tracking, reviewing, and approving all vendor invoices, ensuring alignment with project budgets and scope. Leading weekly progress updates, proactively identifying risk, and implementing solutions to keep projects on track. Writing project-specific scopes of work and managing contract deliverables for subcontractors. Supporting vendor selection, pricing negotiations, and building partnerships that enhance efficiency and cost control. What They're Looking For: Prior experience managing solar construction projects (commercial, community-scale, or utility-scale). Familiarity with construction contracts, site planning, and project financing or budgeting. Strong logistical, communication, and planning skills - able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with clarity. The ability to interpret technical drawings, understand how things get built, and adjust plans as needed. A driven, detail-oriented mindset - someone who sees things through and solves problems before they become blockers.
