The millwright is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in factories, power plants, and construction sites. This role requires precision, technical knowledge, and adherence to safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, align, and dismantle machinery and heavy mechanical equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on equipment. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them. Operate hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools. Fabricate and modify parts as needed using welding and machining tools. Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation. Collaborate with engineers and other tradespeople to ensure efficient operations. Follow all safety protocols and regulations. Required Skills and Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; technical training or apprenticeship preferred. Proven experience as a millwright or in a similar mechanical role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. Proficiency with tools and machinery used in the trade. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment and work in various environments. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
