The Project Manager II leads the full lifecycle of complex Design-Build (DB) and Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) electric power delivery projects, overseeing planning, execution, and close-out. This role ensures coordination across engineering, procurement, scheduling, and construction, while managing contracts, controlling cost, quality, safety, and schedule. The PM II provides strong on-site and remote leadership, enforces compliance with technical specs, and ensures stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project.
These projects will be located in the Midwest (WI, MN, IN).
Duties
Lead integrated DB/EPC project teams from pursuit through close-out, ensuring alignment with client goals and overall project success
Oversee engineering, design, procurement, and construction activities, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and budget
Administer prime contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders with a focus on value, compliance, and risk mitigation
Develop and enforce project-specific plans for safety, quality, and environmental compliance
Foster strong client relationships and stakeholder collaboration through transparent communication and issue resolution
Guide RFIs, value engineering, constructability res, and change management processes
Manage procurement strategy, bidding, vendor coordination, invoicing, and document control
Drive project scheduling, performance tracking, reporting, and payment processes
Lead project close-out, warranty administration, and post-construction res
Mentor junior staff and uphold internal standards, policies, and best practices
Required Experience and Education
6+ years of experience in Construction Project Management, ideally with direct involvement in DB/EPC projects in the power delivery sector.
Proven knowledge of construction practices, engineering coordination, estimating, scheduling, procurement, and field supervision within power transmission, distribution, or substation work
Strong familiarity with contract management, project execution, safety compliance, quality control, and risk management.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education).
Skills
Independent, self-motivated leader with strong team collaboration capabilities
Strategic thinker with robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Deep understanding of EPC project lifecycles, construction methods, and design processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with construction project management tools.

In-depth knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental standards in the power delivery industry
