The purpose of this job is to perform preventive maintenance, inspection and repairs to heavy equipment with a variety of gasoline and diesel engines. Responsible for preparing work orders and the requisition of parts and equipment for repair.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Diagnoses and repairs trucks and equipment
- Performs all necessary repairs to maintain the fleet
- Orders the correct parts to repair units
- Documents equipment or truck repairs and repaired times electronically
- Provides preventative maintenance services of all heavy equipment
- Looks up and requests parts as needed
- Keeps and maintains a clean work environment
- Performs related work as required
Hours: 2:00 pm to 12:00 AM,
Days: Four, 10 hour work days. A schedule of Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday will be assiged.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma (or GED equivalent) with training in automotive/heavy equipment/light equipment, gasoline or diesel engine repairs
- At least two (2) years of experience performing automotive/heavy equipment/small engine mechanical repair and maintenance; and/or state certifications
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
- Possession of a valid Michigan Commercial Driver's License, Class A with an N Endorsement or the ability to obtain one within the six (6) month probationary period
