Lakewood Country Club is looking for a Certified Pool Operator/Maintenance Technician for their Facilities Maintenance Department. We are looking for someone that is hardworking, punctual and dedicated. One weekend shift per week is required. Full time positions come with a fantastic benefits package including but not limited to the following:

The primary directives of our Facility Maintenance Technicians are as follows:

  • Implements the requirements of the preventive maintenance program.
  • Tours Club property on a daily basis informing his supervisor of any maintenance needs.
  • Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, electrical system, carpentry, kitchen equipment, heating and ventilation and all building structures of the Club.
  • Maintains the air conditioning, refrigeration, and ice machines.
  • Insures all tools and maintenance related supplies are accounted for and put away in their proper place at the end of each day.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by department head and assists other departments as assigned by department head.
  • Maintains maintenance shop in a neat an orderly manner.
  • Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation for after hours emergencies.

The general requirements and qualities we are looking for with our Facility Maintenance Technicians are:

  • Currently holds Certified Pool Operator (CPO) designation or is able to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
  • Able to work with standard pool chemicals in both outdoor and indoor conditions.
  • Able to diagnose and source issues with pool pump and plumbing system.
  • Reliability-Our team is expected to show up for all scheduled shifts and be available to work weekends and holidays as required. Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation for after hours emergencies.
  • Team Oriented-We have a small crew but are looking to grow. It is important to be able to work with different people from different departments to achieve the common goal
  • Attentive to detail-Much of the work we do is beyond the scope of general facility maintenance. The small things go a long way for us and our facilities.
  • Positivity-We work sometimes long hours in stressful conditions. The ability to adapt and change course on the fly is critical. Negative people need not apply.
  • Coachable-Many things we do here are quite specific. You need to be coachable and willing to learn our process.
  • Pride-Someone who take pride in a job well done will receive much benefit from seeing top tier facilities produce top tier conditions on a daily basis.

Education and/or Experience

  • CPO Certification preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Post-secondary vocational/technical training in HVACR preferred.
