Job Description:
Meet, advise, and consult with clients and engineers to determine objectives and requirements for structures and aesthetic design; liaise with construction professional and specialist to corroborate the feasibility of project fabrication and likelihoods of meeting the clients desired deadline; conduct a balance between the structural integrity of the building, environmental conditions, optimal utilization of available square footage, the clients requirements, and aesthetic appeal during the design process; maintain regular construction site visits to ensure that construction adheres to architectural plans; estimate the amounts of required materials, equipment, and construction time and the costs that correspond with the mentioned elements; prepare structural and technical specifications related to the design and requirements of the building; direct, advise, and work alongside subordinates and colleagues to prepare drawings, files, presentations, and documents; prepare a set of scaled and detailed drawings via computer software (AutoCAD and BIM Software); collaborate and coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers to ensure that they have a grasp on the design of the building, and they can each submit complete drawing sets related to their specialized fields; ensure those drawing sets are awarded the proper permits and are ready to be utilized on the construction site; work around constraining factors such as local and regional governmental legislations that may pertain to the project at hand along with regulations on safety and environmental impact; prepare and negotiate contract documents for building contractors and engineers; offer construction administrative services and advise the General Contractor in the case of construction complications or issues regarding architectural design; and adapt design and adjust plans according to circumstances that inevitably and often unexpectedly foster impediments during the construction process.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor or foreign equivalent degree in Architectural Engineering or a related field and 2 years of experience in architectural engineering and construction project management for large scale manufacturing plants.
