Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Position Summary \nThe Senior Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating geotechnical-related project assignments. This role involves planning and developing engineering projects, including defining project scope, and applying extensive knowledge in geotechnical engineering. The engineer exercises judgment in evaluating, selecting, adapting, and modifying standard techniques and procedures, while also devising new approaches to address complex problems. \nPreferred Experience: \n\n\nGeotechnical engineering in coastal areas \n \n\nSettlement analysis \n \n\nSlope stability analysis \n \n\nLPILE, APILE, and related tools \n \n \n\nEssential Functions \n\n\nApply extensive, diversified knowledge of engineering principles across a broad range of assignments. \n \n\nReview complete project documentation to ensure conformity and quality assurance. \n \n\nServe as a technical specialist or advisor to upper management and staff. \n \n\nPlan, develop, coordinate, and manage multiple projects or projects of major significance. \n \n\nPrepare project proposals based on defined scope and complexity. \n \n\nSupervise and organize the work of staff engineers and technicians. \n \n\nReview and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects. \n \n\nMaintain continuous interaction with clients, customers, officials, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. \n \n\nAttend project meetings and present engineering-related topics as needed. \n \n\nMaintain consistent and timely attendance. \n \n \n\nOther Responsibilities \n\n\nContribute to business development efforts and collaborate with CMT staff. \n \n\nPerform other duties as required. \n \n \n\nMinimum Requirements \n\n\nBachelor's degree in Engineering \n \n\nMinimum of 15 years of geotechnical engineering experience \n \n\nLicensed Professional Engineer (PE) \n \n \n\nPhysical Requirements \n\n\nAbility to work flexible hours and overtime, as needed. \n \n\nMust be able to sit for extended periods and operate a computer. \n \n\nPossession of a valid driver's license is required. \n \n ","
