We Are Looking For

The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and executing the sales strategy across a defined region (America West, Central, or East) by managing a team of Account Managers and Business Development Managers. This role focuses on delivering regional revenue growth, expanding customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with divisional goals. The Regional Sales Manager provides strategic and operational leadership, oversees the full sales cycle across teams, and ensures excellence in account execution, customer satisfaction, and pipeline health. The ideal candidate brings a strong track record of sales leadership, customer-centric solution selling, and a collaborative mindset to drive results through others.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage a regional sales team of Account Managers and Business Development Managers, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Own the regional sales strategy and execution to meet or exceed revenue, profitability, and growth targets
  • Partner with leadership to translate corporate sales goals into regional action plans
  • Oversee customer segmentation, territory planning, and account assignments across the team
  • Monitor and drive pipeline health, forecast accuracy, and sales KPIs across all accounts in the region
  • Ensure high-quality execution of the full sales lifecycle – from lead qualification and opportunity development to quoting, negotiation, and order fulfillment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Inside Sales, Operations, Product, and Finance) to resolve issues, improve processes, and support customer needs
  • Conduct regular field visits, customer meetings, and QBRs with strategic accounts
  • Guide strategic pricing, product positioning, and sales tactics to optimize deal profitability
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture through coaching, goal-setting, and recognition
  • Maintain a strong grasp of regional market trends, competitive landscape, and customer shifts to adapt go-to-market strategy as needed
  • Provide timely updates on team performance, market conditions, and opportunities to senior leadership

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Progressive sales experience. Experienced in a sales leadership or regional management role
  • Experience leading field sales teams in aerospace, military electronics, or a related technical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth through both account management and new business development strategies
  • Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and managing sales forecasts
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and people development skills
  • Strategic thinker with ability to execute tactically
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
