Job Description

The Quality Control (QC) Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that both design and construction work meet the project's stringent standards. The position requires expertise in reviewing, inspecting, and documenting daily tasks to ensure compliance with the project's minimum requirements. While the Project Manager and Superintendent focus on the overall project, the QC Manager is responsible for maintaining the quality of the ongoing work.

Responsibilities

  • Review and inspect daily tasks to ensure adherence to project standards.
  • Document quality control activities and report directly to the Superintendent.
  • Maintain quality without compromising on safety, scheduling, and productivity goals.
  • Coordinate with the team to address any quality-related issues promptly.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of experience as a contractor QC Manager on Federal US Army Corps projects.
  • Minimum of 2 years of construction experience on relevant projects.
  • Experience with vertical construction projects.
  • Proven track record on projects valued at $50M+.
  • Graduate degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience on large-scale federal projects is ideal.
  • Civil construction experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
  • Calm and level-headed under pressure.

Work Environment

The project is based at Minot Air Force Base in North Dakota, one of the most secure bases in the U.S. The scope includes infrastructure for a new attack helicopter program, involving helipads, maintenance facilities, a firing range, and supporting vertical and civil construction. The role involves a standard 40-hour work week, with occasional extensions to 50 hours. The team consists of experienced QC Managers with a structured work environment. Travel is supported with paid travel days every four weeks, and relocation is manageable with housing assistance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
