Machine Builder

Job Overview

The machine builder is responsible for constructing and assembling a variety equipment including material transporters, tanks, and pump assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Read mechanical blueprints and technical diagrams
• Assemble machine parts and components
• Complete basic equipment component wiring
• Test completed equipment to ensure proper functionality
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and solve issues
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Develop less experienced Machine Builders through on the job training as necessary.
• Effectively and safely operating hand and power tools, mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, and shears
• Disassembles, prepares and crates parts and equipment for shipment to customers
• Follow safety protocols and procedures
• Completes appropriate job paperwork
• Maintain tools and equipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in machine building or a related field

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems

• Familiarity with various hand and power tools

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
