CC017310 Maintenance Summary: Four /10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday 6-4:30pm

Applies paint, varnishes, stains and other coatings to interior and/or exterior surfaces with brush, roller or other tools. Prepares surfaces for painting by removing old paint using paint removers, scrapers, wire brushes, or blowtorches. Fills nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillers using a caulking gun or a putty knife. Prepares paint and primers and matches colors. May prepare estimates of work time and cost. Additional Information:

Required Education: No education requirements Recommended Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent Required Work Experience: 3 years of relevant experience; HS Diploma or GED may substitute for 2 years of work experience Recommended Work Experience: Required Certifications: Recommended Certifications: Description

1. Checks and prioritizes work orders on a daily basis and completes them within a reasonable length of time.

2. Communicates daily with PCMs (Patient Care Managers) and schedules jobs within patient units as needed.

3. Collaborates with the Facilities Manager to point out any potential problems to ensure surfaces contribute to the aesthetics of our hospital including any areas that might need wall protection, corner guards, etc.

4. Ensures surfaces are finished smoothly, attractively, and without unsightly waves.

5. Participates in fire and disaster plans as outlined in the Emergency Operations Procedures (EOP). Assures job sites and paint storage areas are clean, orderly and safe.

6. Submits recommendations for repairs/replacements to the Facilities Manager in accordance with budget planning.

7. Conducts monthly checks of vinyl covered and painted surfaces.

8. Requisitions and orders materials as needed and assures all materials have a current SDS on file.

9. Performs other duties as assigned.
