The PennDOT Chester County Maintenance Office invites skilled individuals to showcase their multifaceted talents as a Tradesman Helper. As a Tradesman Helper, you will play a vital part in the repair of a diverse fleet of vehicles, construction machinery, and hand tools, ensuring that each piece of equipment operates at its best. In this role, you will assist mechanics with various semi-skilled tasks while also handling general building maintenance duties. This includes cleaning restrooms, offices, conference rooms, lunch areas, foyers, and garage spaces. Your responsibilities will encompass trash collection; dusting furniture and fixtures; sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floors; and washing windows. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining the yard by ensuring it remains tidy, cutting grass and weeds, removing snow from sidewalks and parking areas, and managing the scrap tire area. You will also provide support to mechanics with light mechanical repairs, such as oil changes, light repairs, and tire mounting for both light and heavy-duty vehicles as required.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Winter hours may be 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirement:
- This position requires an active non-commercial Pennsylvania Class C drivers license or equivalent.
