Mechanic/Welder

As a Mechanic/Welder at Westmor Industries, you will be a key member of our manufacturing team responsible for performing mechanical and welding tasks that support the assembly, repair, and maintenance of our tanker trucks and trailers. This position requires both technical skill and a focus on safety and quality in all aspects of work.

**Key Responsibilities**

- **Assembly:** Assembly and install prefabricated parts, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems on trucks and trailers before and after painting

- **Welding & Fabrication:** Perform FCAW welding and metal fabrication using appropriate materials and tools to ensure high-quality welds

- **Blueprint & Equipment Operation:** Read blueprints and operate hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely to ensure proper assembly and quality work

- **Quality & Safety:** Inspect parts for accuracy and quality, adhering to safety guidelines and industry standards to maintain a safe, organized work environment

- **Additional Tasks:** Assist with general maintenance, repairs, and support other teams as needed

**Qualifications**

- Strong mechanical background or experience

- Understanding of 12V electrical systems

- Ability to read blueprints

- Familiarity with FCAW welding
