Fabrication Operator

What We're Looking For:

• 2-3 years of experience in machine shop operation
• High school diploma or equivalent - preferred
• Vocational training in machine shop operations - preferred
• Experience operating lathes, mills, and grinders
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient with measuring instruments and capable of performing precise calculations
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols
• Willingness to work in other areas or departments as needed
• Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills
• Clear communication and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong time management and task prioritization skills

What You'll Do as a Fabrication Operator:

• Set up and operate lathes, mills, and grinders to manufacture parts
• Follow blueprints, specifications, and instructions to meet required tolerances
• Monitor machine operations and adjust settings as needed
• Inspect parts using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers
• Report deviations from specifications and implement corrective actions
• Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication
• Report mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel
• Follow all workplace safety standards and best practices
• Support and promote a safe working environment
• Assist in training new operators when needed
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth production flow
