Job Title: Structural Engineer II

NSC Staffing is hiring a Structural Engineer II to support the analysis, research, and development of structural engineering specifications and systems. This position will contribute to the design and operation of structural components and systems for naval applications, including metals, composites, hydraulics, and electrical/electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and develop structural engineering specifications related to a variety of materials and system designs.
• Perform structural modeling and analysis, including damage tolerance, fatigue, stability, thermal, and stress analysis.
• Utilize engineering tools such as CATIA, IDEAS, ProEngineer, and other structural modeling software.
• Research and apply engineering principles in support of mechanical, power plant, heating and ventilation, and maintenance designs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams and contribute to project planning and design improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• ABET-accredited Engineering degree required
• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 0 years of experience.
• Proficiency in structural analysis tools and software applications.
• Knowledge of structural materials including metallic and composite materials.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex engineering challenges.
