Infant/Toddler Enrichment Specialist (Independent Contractor)

Shalom Orlando is seeking passionate and knowledgeable Infant/Toddler Enrichment Specialists to lead part-time morning and occasional evening enrichment classes for infants, toddlers, and new parents at our Maitland campus.

Ideal candidates bring expertise in areas such as (but not limited to):

• lactation support
• newborn care
• baby movement and sensory development
• infant massage
• new parent education

We are looking for individuals committed to fostering strong starts in life while building community connections through education and support.

This is a meaningful opportunity to help families during one of life's most transformative stages--early parenthood--through hands-on learning, support groups, and engaging experiences.

These positions are based on a sessional calendar.

Minimum Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and lead developmentally appropriate enrichment classes for infants, toddlers, and/or caregivers in your area of expertise
• Share professional knowledge in your area of specialization with empathy and clarity
• Foster a warm, inclusive, and welcoming environment for caregivers and young children
• Lead small group sessions independently while maintaining a high standard of care and professionalism
• Collaborate with the Shalom Orlando team to adapt and expand offerings based on community needs
• Work Schedule:
• Flexible, part-time role
• Primarily morning classes with occasional evening sessions as needed
• Independent contractor status; paid per session
• Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Relevant current professional certification or background (e.g., IBCLC, postpartum doula, early childhood educator, pediatric therapist, etc.)
• One to three years of experience working with infants, toddlers, and/or parents in a developmental or support role
• Strong communication and facilitation skills
• Ability to independently manage group instruction and class planning
• Must be able to pass all required background checks, including fingerprinting.
