Your Role Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of mechanical systems and components, supporting innovative product solutions that align performance, reliability, and cost goals. You'll work cross functional with other engineers and departments, contributing from concept through implementation. Essential Job Functions Design and select components for valve assemblies; prepare technical reports for internal review and approval. Perform detailed mechanical design of both stationary and moving components and mechanisms, applying rigorous analytical methods. Optimize designs for reliability, efficiency, manufacturability, serviceability, weight, and cost. Lead the engineering development of assigned designs from concept to implementation, collaborating closely with team members across disciplines. Select appropriate materials based on strength, corrosion resistance, machinability, and cost; design using metals, plastics, and composites. Utilize diverse manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, fabrication, and injection molding. Collaborate in brainstorming sessions with other engineers; produce functional concept sketches with consideration for DFM and DFA. Design, build, and operate custom test rigs for performance evaluation, calibration, and design validation. Adhere to project schedules and budgets while ensuring quality and accuracy. Develop and maintain custom analytical tools and improve design methodologies. To succeed, you will need Required Qualifications Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. Strong knowledge of structural design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, vibrations, and mechanics of materials. Demonstrated experience managing the lifecycle of mechanical system development-from concept to field operation. Proficient in 3D CAD modeling, (preferably using Creo Parametric or Pro/E) and creating detailed drawings with GD&T. Well-versed in engineering and machine design handbooks and standards. Experience developing custom analytical tools to support design work. Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and functions. Preferred Qualifications Experience performing stress and dynamic analysis using FEA tools. Knowledge of DFM/ DFA principles and a good understanding of various manufacturing methods and surface finish applications. Demonstrated expertise in material selection for metals, plastics, and composites. Background in an R&D or product development environments. Experience designing and operating test rigs for structural and flow analysis. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience designing and developing mechanical systems from concept to field use.
