Electrician**

**Job Description**

The role of an Electrician involves roughing in conduit and wiring new commercial buildings based on plans and prints provided by the General Contractor. The wires are typically terminated at switches, circuit breaker panels, and relays. Commercial electricians are responsible for wiring instruments that control the power, lighting, and heating units in buildings, as well as providing wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units. The position requires the use of power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders.

**Responsibilities**

+ Rough in conduit and wiring for new commercial buildings.

+ Terminate wires at switches, circuit breaker panels, and relays.

+ Wire instruments controlling power, lighting, and heating units.

+ Provide wiring for air conditioning and refrigeration units.

+ Utilize power tools, test meters, pipe threaders, and conduit benders.

**Essential Skills**

+ Electrical wiring with commercial experience.

+ Bending conduit or pipe and running wire.

+ Safety oriented with OSHA certification.

+ Experience with saws, drills, utility knives, ohmmeters, and testing tools.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Proficiency in conduit bending and wiring.

+ EMT certification.

+ Ability to pull wire and set boxes.

+ Experience with 220V systems.

+ Skills in pipe bending and laying.

**Job Type & Location**

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brockport, New York.

**Pay and Benefits**

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
