Brewing Maintenance Supervisor
Purpose: This is a working supervisor positions that is responsible for leading a team comprised of highly skilled technicians. This position will ensure proper maintenance of brewery systems, as well as the ability to maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting mechanical systems in all areas of the brewery.
Essential Duties:
- Direct supervision of a team; manage and review performance, address personnel issues, sets team priorities and goals, provide coaching, feedback, training and development
- Assist with development of annual budgets
- Resolve daily issues; work cross departmentally to schedule major rebuilds and last minute down time
- Perform the required maintenance on specific pieces of equipment; identify critical spare parts
- Develops maintenance requirements and training checklists on specific pieces of equipment.
- Monitor and ensure safety and operational policies and procedures are followed; provide tools and communication necessary to mitigate; lock out all brewery equipment when required.
- Responsible to participate in on-call mechanical program.

Education/ Experience/ Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 8+ years of related experience or equivalent training and experience.
- Proven ability to lead and direct the work of others.
- Expert mechanical working knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Expert knowledge of brewing, production process.
- Expert knowledge of chemical handling and abilities.
- Expert knowledge with scheduling maintenance outages.
- Solid electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding abilities.
- Solid experience with Lathes, Drill press, and other specialized mechanical tools.
- Expert understanding of engineering concepts in sanitary applications.
- Expert ability to read, interpret and deliver, instructions, policies and regulations
- Expert understanding of reading and interpreting P&ID
- Expert understanding of reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Confined space trained and certified.
- LOTO trained and certified.
- Osha 10 hour trained and certified.
- Osha 30 hour trained and certified.
Percent of Travel: 5-20%
Working Conditions: Distribution center, production areas, Construction areas and Process waste water facility.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 80lbs., and carry objects weighing up to 47lbs up to 100 feet
- Ability to push/ pull weights up to 75lbs. and maintain a grip strength required to carry objects including buckets and boxes
- Must show fine motor dexterity
- Ability to climb stairs, stoop, crawl, twist, squat and reach overhead.
- Requires frequent, constant standing and walking
Wage information is provided in compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and is Bells and New Belgium's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation range and benefits offered for this position. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, or other position-related reasons.
Starting Salary Range: $65,000.00-$82,500.00
