Superintendent
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Superintendent for a full-time, on-site position at the VAI Resort Project. This role involves overseeing ongoing construction activities and working closely with the Project Management team to ensure the project is completed by the end of 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily construction activities on the hospitality site, including managing subcontractors and finishing trades.
  • Coordinate and manage various subcontractors, review their progress, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all construction work meets project specifications and quality standards, including adherence to design details specific to the hospitality industry.
  • Ensure compliance with all local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards related to hospitality construction.
  • Maintain open communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, designers, and subcontractors, providing regular updates on project progress.
  • Identify and address any issues that arise during construction, including resolving conflicts between subcontractors and finding solutions to unexpected challenges.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing project status, including progress updates, potential risks, and any necessary corrective actions.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience within the commercial construction space.
  • Experience in construction management, particularly within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple subcontractors and tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the Project Management team.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction regulations and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents.
  • Ability to manage budgets and project timelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in hotel construction and ground-up projects.
  • Ability to review construction documents, drawings, and design packages.
Work Environment

This position is based on-site at the VAI Resort in Glendale, AZ, next to Cardinals Stadium. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with 50-hour work weeks. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
