Craftsman/Technician

To help maintain the physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use of it may be made at all times.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Demonstrates sound judgment and emotional stability.Maintains a positive attitude and works well with others.Ensures the safety of students.Interacts with staff, students and the community in a positive and respectful manner.Repairs/maintains all types of heating ventilating and air conditioning equipment (HVAC).Repairs, replaces, maintains, monitors and calibrates control panels and thermostats of all systems to maintain standard working temperatures.Installs/tests new equipment.Accurately orders/accounts for material/labor in relation to assignments.Repairs/maintains kitchens and associated equipment.Maintains all safety and code requirements of state/local and Board of Education guidelines.Knowledge of kitchen and refrigeration equipment, including combi-ovens and dishwashers.Understanding of gas fired equipment.Basic electrical experience. Able to read wiring diagrams.May be required to be on 24-hour call.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalent with five years related previous experience preferred.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Valid Ohio drivers license with good driving record.Certification in HVAC and use of CFC refrigerants.
