**Job Description**
The mechanical millwright will be responsible for the installation, dismantling, maintenance, repairs, and relocation of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in factories, power plants, and construction sites. The role is highly mechanical and often overlaps with rigging, welding, and pipefitting.
**Responsibilities**
+ Installation & Alignment: Set up machinery such as conveyors, pumps, motors, and turbines, ensuring precise alignment and leveling.
+ Maintenance & Repair: Troubleshoot and fix hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
+ Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings and schematics to guide installations and modifications.
+ Rigging & Welding: Use cranes, chain falls, and welding tools to move and secure heavy equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Rigging: Ability to attach loads to rigging machinery and manipulate rigging lines, pulleys, and hoists.
+ Iron Work: Fabrication, installation, and maintenance of structures or components made from iron or steel.
+ Machine Assembly/Dissasembly: Setting up machinery such as conveyors, pumps, motors, and turbines, ensuring precise alignment and leveling.
+ Troubleshooting: Proficiency in identifying and fixing issues in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
+ Mechanical Maintenance: Experience in maintaining mechanical systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Vocational training in mechanical drawing, math, and machine shop practice.
+ Lift Certification.
+ Fall Protection Certification.
+ Completion of a 45 year apprenticeship combining classroom instruction with on-the-job training.
+ OSHA 10/30 Certifications.
+ NCCO certifications (e.g., forklifts, rigging).
+ Welding certifications (1G4G, Pulse Arc, etc.).
+ Rigging-360 or equivalent.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
