Cad Technician

A CAD Technician is needed for a leading Water and Wastewater utility in Fayetteville, NC. In this role, you'll support capital projects through technical drafting and design using AutoCAD, working closely with engineers to ensure design standards are met. This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering hands-on involvement in utility design, mapping, and documentation.

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD experience in civil or public utilities design. An associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting Technology is preferred, along with familiarity in water/wastewater systems and experience with Civil 3D, GIS applications, or MicroStation. Some relocation may be budgeted for qualified regional candidates.

responsibilities:

• Create and revise AutoCAD drawings based on sketches or verbal instructions from engineers
  
  
• Assist in maintaining compliance with drafting standards, specifications, and approved material lists
  
  
• Prepare and update as-built drawings, templates, and system maps
  
  
• Support the engineering team with exhibits, budgets, and project documentation
  
  
• Operate large-format plotters and printers
  
  
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of design efforts
